Fordham University The Jesuit University of New York

The Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education (GRE) located at Fordham University's beautiful Rose Hill campus was one of the first graduate, higher education institutions in the world to offer comprehensive programs in Religious Education, Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Direction in response to the call for renewal of the Second Vatican Council. Since 1968 men and women from around the world have joined our community of learning, and are now serving as leaders in the Church worldwide.

The faculty and staff of the GRE are delighted that you are interested in Fordham. We are interested in you. The following pages will give you a glimpse of what we have to offer. You will find that all of the programs described in these pages are of the highest quality. We hope that you will consider being a part of this community and to contributing to the wonderful spirit of the GRE.

Our goal is to prepare competent and compassionate leaders who help to create a hope-filled future for the Church and society. The knowledge that will be shared through the curriculum, your interaction with faculty and students, and the opportunities for prayer and socializing all contribute towards making our graduate education program at Fordham GRE one of the best in the country.

As you consider the information found on our web site, please do not hesitate to contact us with any of your questions or concerns.
