Thank you for visiting our website. As members of the Fordham University community, we provide services to students who may need some help making it through school and life in general. Below are brief explanations of the services we offer. For more details, click on the links to the left. Please feel free to contact us for questions, appointments, and suggestions, including ways to improve our website.

Students sometimes experience difficulties which complicate and undermine success in their academic and personal lives. These problems might include low self-esteem, procrastination, academic difficulties, career indecision, problems with family, friends, roommates and relationships, stress, anxiety, depression, problems resulting from an abusive childhood or sexual assault, issues in eating and body image, alcohol or substance issues, worry about dating or sexuality, identity issues, bereavement and loss, and financial difficulties.

The Counseling Center staff provides a variety of services to help students understand their problems and themselves, achieve satisfying relationships, improve their academic performance, set personal goals, and make effective and satisfying career and life choices.

We offer services such as individual and group counseling (check out our Groups webpage for current group listings!) and psychotherapy, consultations about friends and roommates, workshops, outreach and presentations.

Counseling & Psychological Services are
• Available to all students at Fordham’s Rose Hill, Lincoln Center, and Marymount campuses
• Offered to students without charge
• Confidential. Files are not a part of the student’s educational record
• Staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of devoted mental health professionals and doctoral  trainees in psychology
