Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service has moved its Tarrytown programs to a new campus at 400 Westchester Avenue, in West Harrison, N.Y., for the Fall 2008 semester. Fordham Westchester -- a 3-story, 54,000-square-foot building -- includes “smart classrooms,” a library and computer lab, and student lounge. The newly-constructed academic facilities surround a large central courtyard in a building that sits on 32 beautifully landscaped acres with a stream and pond. The building offers parking for 250 vehicles and access to public transportation. This new facility will accommodate students from the suburban tri-state area.
On Long Island we offer a collaborative program with Molloy College in Rockville Centre. Whichever campus you choose, you will find yourself among students with diverse backgrounds and experiences. from all economic strata, some with experience and others brand new to the field.
The School offers a variety of full-time and part time plans of study to meet the needs of all its students. Classes meet but once a week and can be taken on weekdays, weekends and evenings. Every effort is made to accommodate the varying and demanding schedules that so many of us face in today's challenging and fast-paced world.
Students choose Fordham because of its reputation for excellence in academics and practice. Fordham’s Graduate School of Social Service stands among the top 20 graduate schools of social work in the nation, according to the most recent rankings by the editors of U.S. News & World Report.
