Fordham University The Jesuit University of New York

Effective this fall 2014 semester, all domestic graduate and Law students carrying 6 or more credits will be automatically enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP).  The fall semester charge for this program will be included on your student account. Graduate and Law students carrying 5 or fewer credits may purchase coverage on a voluntary basis.

Students only registered to complete their dissertation will not be subject to this requirement.

The charge for this coverage can be removed by demonstrating that you have other coverage. Your request to waive coverage under the program and thus have the charge removed from your account must be completed by September 10, 2014. Students who waive coverage in the plan for the fall semester will be automatically waived for the spring semester.

To waive coverage, please contact:
Maritza Rivera-Garcia, Health Insurance Compliance Administrator
Phone: (718) 817- 4160
