FINANCIAL AID:
In academic year 2010 - 2011, 53 students were enrolled in the economics program.

TIME TO COMPLETION:

Since 2001, Fordham’s Economics program has had:

  • 110 masters only graduates, with a median registered time to degree of 1.7 years
  • 49 students earned a master’s degree en route to a doctorate, with a median registered time to degree of 2.0 years
  • 20 students earned a doctorate with a non-Fordham master’s, with a median registered time to degree of 5.6 years
  • 44 students earned a doctorate with a Fordham master’s, with a median registered time to degree of 6.7 years for both degrees. 


INCOMING STUDENTS:

Of 50 admitted applicants for Fall 2010, 15 (30%) made up the entering cohort.

  • 8 (53%) Ph.D. students
  • 7 (47%) M.A. students

The entering cohort had GRE score (2008 - 2010) ranges of:

  • Verbal: 500-610
  • Quantitative: 680-770
  • Analytical Writing: 4-5

The average Bachelor’s GPA for incoming students:

  • 3.82

63% of 1st year Ph.D. students have merit based stipends and full tuition scholarships.
