FINANCIAL AID:
In academic year 2010 - 2011, 63 students were enrolled in the theology program.  

In the theology program, 36 (62%) students had stipends, including:

  • 5 (14%) distinguished fellowships
  • 19 (53%) graduate assistantships
  • 4 (11%) teaching associates
  • 8 (22%) teaching fellows
  • 0 (0%) external funding

TIME TO COMPLETION:

Since 2001, Fordham’s Theology program has had:

  • 18 masters only graduates, with a median registered time to degree of 2.4 years
  • 15 students earned a master’s degree en route to a doctorate, with a median registered time to degree of 1.7 years
  • 25 students earned a doctorate with a non-Fordham master’s, with a median registered time to degree of 7.7 years
  • 20 students earned a doctorate with a Fordham master’s, with a median registered time to degree of 8.7 years for both degrees. 


INCOMING STUDENTS:

Of 23 admitted applicants for Fall 2009, 8 (38%) made up the entering doctoral cohort.

  • 7 (88%) Ph.D. students
  • 1 (  1%) M.A. students

The entering cohort had GRE score (2008 - 2010) ranges of:

  • Verbal: 640-750
  • Quantitative: 590-710
  • Analytical Writing: 5-6

The average Bachelor’s GPA for incoming students:

  • 3.75

100% of 1st year Ph.D. students have merit based stipends and full tuition scholarships.
