Summer 2013 Academic Calendar

Summer Session I is 6 weeks in duration with each class meeting twice a week for 2.5 hours..
Summer Session II is 5 weeks in duration with each class meeting twice a week for 3 hours.

MAY

6, 8	In-person Registration for Summer I, Summer II, and Fall at Lincoln Center & Westchester (3-5PM)
17	Last day for dissertation oral defense for August graduation. Oral defense of dissertation has to occur prior to submitting dissertations for format review.
18	University Commencement and Diploma Ceremony at Rose Hill campus
20	Classes for Summer Session I begin at Lincoln Center and Westchester.
20-21	In-person Registration for Summer I, Summer II, and Fall at Lincoln Center & Westchester (3-5PM)
24	Online Add/Drop ends. Last day to withdraw from a Summer Session I course without incurring a W (withdrawal) and tuition charges.
24	Online Add/Drop ends. Last day to withdraw from a C&T or PES Summer Session I course without incurring a W (withdrawal) and tuition charges.
24	Last day to submit religious school scholarship application for Summer I, Room 1024.
27	Memorial Day - University Closed

JUNE

7	Make-up session for Monday classes (Memorial Day)
14	Last day to submit approved dissertations for summer format review. Dissertations submitted after this date will not be reviewed in time for August 2013 graduation.
26-27	In-person Registration for Summer and Fall at Lincoln Center and Westchester (3-5PM)
28	Last Day of Summer I
28	Last day for removal of INC, ABS, and NGR grades incurred during the Spring 2012 semester. Unresolved grades become administrative failures after this date.
30	Deadline to apply online for August 2013 graduation (my.fordham.edu)

JULY

1	Classes begin at Lincoln Center and Westchester -- Summer Session II
4	Independence Day -- University closed
5	Start of Summer Fridays -- University closed on Fridays from July 5 to August 9
5	Online Add/Drop ends. Last day to withdraw from a Summer Session II course without incurring a W (withdrawal) or tuition charges.
8	Last day to submit religious school scholarship application for Summer II, Room 1024

AUGUST

6	Last day for removal of INC, ABS, and NGR grades incurred during 2013 Summer Session I. Unresolved grades become administrative failures after this date.
6	Last day of classes (Summer Session II)
9	Last Friday closing. Hereinafter, Monday-Friday office schedule in effect.

SEPTEMBER

3-4	In-person registration at Lincoln Center and Westchester (3-6PM)
4	Classes begin at Lincoln Center and Westchester
20	Last day for removal of INC, ABS, and NGR grades incurred during 2013 Summer Session II. Unresolved grades become administrative failures after this date.
