Dr. Lee is a Clinical Professor of Education in the Division of Educational Leadership, Administration and Policy at the Graduate School of Education Fordham University. Dr. Lee joined the GSE faculty in 2005 and currently serves as Associate Chair for the Division. He also serves as the Coordinator for the Division’s Urban School Leadership doctoral program, the Coordinator of the Master’s Degree programs in Educational Administration and Supervision which prepares future school building leader and other educational leaders, and the Coordinator of the Advanced Certificate Program for School District Leader
Prior to joining the faculty at the Graduate School of Education, Dr. Lee served the students, parents, and educators of the New York City Department of Education for over 30 years as a teacher of English at Brandeis High School, Manhattan, Assistant Principal and Principal of the Lower East Side Preparatory School, one of NYC’s original public alternative high schools serving at-risk youth, Deputy Superintendent and Superintendent of the Queens High Schools District and as Executive Director of the NYCDOE Office of Student Enrollment Planning and Operations. Dr. Lee received numerous awards and recognitionfor his leadership at both the school building and district levels.
Dr. Lee started his career as an English as a Second Language teacher for The English Language Center operated by the Chinese American Planning Council and then served as the Founding Director of the Oliver Street School Age Day Care Center, a collaborative program for “latch-key” children sponsored by the Chinese American Planning Council and Hamilton Madison House.
Dr. Lee has served as a consultant for the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, a consultant and leadership coach for New Visions for Public Schools, and a researcher for the Metropolitan Center for Urban Education at NYU and currently serves as a consultant for ATCS-P.L.C. on a Regional Catastrophic Logistics Training Program.
