Dr. Marcus is a Professor in the Division of Educational Leadership and Policy at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Education. Before joining the Fordham faculty, Dr. Marcus served as a teacher, guidance counselor, and administrator in the New York City Public School System.

Academic Background

Dr. Marcus earned both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the City College of New York. He began his doctoral studies at Duke University and completed his degree at Yeshiva University

Research Interests

Critical issues in administration and supervision; the superintendentcy; the nature of leadership; multiculturalism and prejudice; administrative decision making; hot button issues in today’s schools; and urban education.
