School Psychology Resources
Research Facilities
Fordham University provides school psychology students with excellent learning and research experiences through the Rosa A. Hagin School Consulation Center and the Early Childhood Centers. These facilities are operated by the Fordham Graduate School of Education and conveniently housed on campus.
Technology
In addition to the technology resources in Quinn Library, School Psychology students have access to the technology center housed within the Graduate School of Education. The technology center is equipped with both PC and Mac computers so students may access the internet and work on individual and group assignments in a private setting. Additionally, most classrooms in the Graduate School of Education are "technology-enhanced" providing a multimedia learning experience. Wireless internet access is available throughout the school.
Field Experience
Fordham University's Manhattan location allows for invaluable field experiences with diverse populations in settings throughout the New York metro area. In fact, Fordham students frequently spend time in clinical and research centers associated with many different local public and private institutions. The supervisor and coordinator of field experiences, Dr. Melissa Laracuenta (
mlaracuenta@fordham.edu) assists students in securing placements in schools, clinics, hospitals, and research centers. Additionally, students in the past have had the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica, Honduras, and Israel for clinical and research experience. Read the
