Stan Kaminsky was an Elementary School Principal for 23 years (15 in NYC and 8 in Long Island), as well as a MS/JHS/HS Assistant Principal, Teacher and Guidance Counselor for 12 years in N.Y.C. He has experienced the public education of students from Pre-K through grade 12, both within and outside of New York City. This unique blend of experiences has afforded him a wide lens to view successful educational programs and positive leadership practices at all levels and curricula areas.
Professor Kaminsky received his Graduate degree from N.Y.U. in Administration, and Undergraduate Teacher Preparation from N.Y.U. as well. He is a “product” of the N.Y.C. public schools (all in The Bronx); and is quite proud of this fact! As a Teacher of Science, Mathematics and some Social Studies, he never thought about becoming a school leader. However, his Principal “saw something”, and strongly encouraged him in that direction.
