: Master of Science in Teaching (M.S.T.)
: Classroom Mathematics teacher and Special Education teacher with an extension in Mathematics for grades 7-12

The principles of equity, access, and rigor frame the course work and field experiences designed to develop competencies in both general and special education in Mathematics.
The program is distinguished by exceptionally strong field experiences, carefully coordinated sequence of courses progressing from foundations and teaching methods, and a capstone requirement which includes the development of a teacher portfolio. Candidates’ development is supported by expert faculty, master teachers and field advisers/mentors.
Applicants must have an undergraduate major in mathematics or its equivalent with a minimum of 27 credits in specific mathematics content areas.

Additional Adolescent Mathematics Programs
In the fall and spring semesters of the first year, students are in classrooms for three full days per week: observation for three weeks, then student teaching, in the same classroom, for ten weeks.
In the fall and spring semesters of the second year, students are in classrooms for five full days per week: observation for two weeks, then student teaching, in the same classroom, for twelve weeks.
