Students must be matriculated and enrolled at half-time status (6 credits) to be eligible for Federal Stafford Loans. Once you have filed your FAFSA and if you are a NYS resident and you plan to enroll for at least 12 credits, you should file for the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application. TAP should be filed at least 8 weeks prior to the beginning of the semester to appear as a potential credit on your student Account.
Applying for Loans:
New Students must complete ALL of the following steps:
**File a FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov (FEDERAL SCHOOL CODE # 002722)
**Complete a Loan Request Form www.fordham.edu/finaid
**Complete an Entrance Interview www.fordham.edu/finaid
**Complete and sign your e-MPN with your guarantor (Master Promissory Note) (For NY, go to www.hesc.com)
Continuing Students must complete ALL of the following steps:
**File a FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov or call FAFSA (800) 433-3243
**Complete a Loan Request Form www.fordham.edu/finaid
Acceptable forms of payment include cash, check, money order, automated clearing house (ACH) transactions, and credit card (with restrictions). Summer tuition payment can be made with credit card in person or online. Non-summer tuition fees must be paid through PHONECHARGE (877) 903-9328 or online at my.fordham.edu. Payment may be submitted in person, or via mail, the web, telephone, or wire transfer.
There are a number of financing alternatives available to you. The Fordham Monthly Payment Plan, Alternative Educational Loans, and the deferment payment plan. Please contact the Enrollment Group at (212) 636-6700 or visit Financing Fordham at www.fordham.edu/finaid/plan for more information on financing options.
You will receive a bill in the mail and payment is expected by the due date. If your payment is not received by this date you will incur a $15 or 1.5% late fee (whichever is the greater amount). We encourage you to check your tuition balance regularly (as well as other pertinent student information) via Fordham web portal: My.fordham.edu (student Tab)
To access OASIS go to oasis.fordham.edu, select OASIS from the Quicklinks menu, click on “Enter Student Services”. If you do not know your Fordham student id, use your social security number. Your pin number is the last four digits of your zip code. If you experience problems signing on, please contact the Dean of Students’ office at (212) 636-6406.
The tuition for fall 2009-2010 semester is $1,000.00 per credit and some of the fees for the semester are as follows:
