Winter 2012

Dear GSE Alumni,

Happy New Year! The Graduate School of Education looks forward to a productive and successful 2012. As we begin the spring semester, we want to share the following exciting news with you:

The 2012 editions of Inside Grad Ed and GSE: Facts and Figures are out!

If you would like a hard copy of either of these publications, e-mail Michelle Adams at miadams@fordham.edu and include your mailing address.

The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) recently reaccredited GSE.

NCATE, which is responsible for evaluating 623 teacher-education organizations in the United States, reviews the school every five years. We are very pleased with the council’s confirmation of our School’s advances in assessing students and graduates, as well as the skills, attitudes and knowledge our students have developed here.

GSE now offers new extension programs in Adolescence Special Education!

If you are interested in adding an extension program (in this or another area) to your GSE degree to enhance your teaching knowledge and credentials, click here. Contact Linda Horisk, assistant dean of admissions, at (212) 636-6401 or horisk@fordham.edu for more information. COMING SOON: A new doctoral degree program in Contemporary Learning and Interdisciplinary Research. Check the GSE Blog and website regularly for updates!
