The Center for Educational Partnerships:
The Center is part of Fordham University’s Graduate School of Education and was established by Dean James Hennessy in January 2006.Adhering to the basic principles of applied research, the Center’s mission is to provide services and assistance to teachers, administrators, students, and parents, as well as to education and government agencies designed to enable all children to achieve and succeed. The NYS Bronx BETAC at Fordham University:
The NYS Bronx BETAC at Fordham University was created to support the delivery of instruction through professional development services, resources and the dissemination of information to all schools servicing English Language Learners in the Bronx. The ultimate goal is to assist schools in bridging the achievement gap and creating high expectations through standard based learning. (download brochure)
NYS Bilingual Schology Psychology Support Center:
In 2007, Fordham University’s Graduate School of Education, headed by Dean James Hennessy, was awarded a contract from the New York State Education Department to establish a Bilingual School Psychology Support Center, to serve as a vehicle to recruit, train and retain bilingual school psychologists for New York City Department of Education schools. | The Center’s services are designed to support improvement in school achievement and adjustment for all students, regardless of their school affiliation. The Center also serves adult clients, including graduate students from universities in the greater New York area. |

TheNYS Lower Hudson Valley BETAC at Fordham, funded by a grant from the New York State Education Department, provides technical assistance at no charge to teachers, schools, district administrators and parents of limited English proficient (LEP) students as well as the public in Westchester, Rockland, and The BETAC operates under the Fordham Graduate School of Education headed by Dean James J. Hennesy, Ph.D. and is part of the Center for Educational Partnerships. (download Brochure)
