Dr. Turner is an assistant professor of English education in the Division of Curriculum and Teaching at Fordham University. A certified teacher of secondary English and social studies, she taught high school in New Jersey for six years before shifting focus to teacher education. She has taught pre-service and in-service education courses at Rutgers University and Rider University, and she is a consultant for the National Writing Project.

Research Interests
Dr. Turner is interested in improving the quality of students’ writing at all levels and in all contents. Her work focuses on the teaching of argument and using reflective practice to help students learn content and process. Most recently, she is researching the nature of digital language and the choices students make in their digital writing.
