Fordham University's Graduate School of Education consists of three divisions AND special Institutes and centers:
The Division of Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy (ELAP):
Prepares future administrators, supervisors, principals, superintendents and other leaders in public and non-public schools and church settings. Also develops educators and trainers to non-school settings such as business, industry, government, hospitals, museums and libraries.
The Division of Curriculum and Teaching (C & T):
Prepares and develops teachers at the initial and advanced levels who are committed to professional and school excellence, reflective practice, and lifelong learning.
The Division of Psychological and Educational Services (PES):
Prepares professional for positions in PreK–12 schools, mental health settings; counseling services in higher education, adult education, business, industry, and independent psychological practice. Also provides advanced training for teachers and individuals interested in research or the development and evaluation of educational programs and materials.
General Program Requirements:
The programs of study in effect at the time of admission constitute the minimum course requirements. Additional courses, or other work and activities may be required based on the students’ prior academic or professional background, on achievement in the program or on professional or academic goals.
