The GRE invites applications for admission from those serving the Church who seek to deepen their knowledge and ministerial competence, those preparing to seek employment at parish, school, and diocesan levels, and those seeking personal enrichment through the study of Christian faith.

The application deadline for fall admissions to the Ph.D. program in a given year is March 1st of that year. Applications for all master's level degree programs may be submitted at any time throughout the year. However, to be considered for January admissions, all admissions materials for an applicant must be received by December 1st of the previous year. To be considered for admission to the summer session, all application materials must be received by May 1st of that year. To be considered for fall admissions all admissions materials must be received by July 1st of that year. It is recommended that international students submit all application materials two months in advance of the above deadlines to ensure sufficient time for the securing of a visa to study at Fordham University.
