ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES |

The following steps should be taken to facilitate the process of acceptance to either of the degree programs:
1. Please print carefully or type all information on the Application Fordham University for Admission. All documents submitted become part of the Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education. University files and will not be returned or duplicated for any Office of Graduate Admissions purpose. Mail the application and all related correspondence to the following address:

2. Enclose with the Application for Admission and all other documents a non-refundable application fee of $65, in the form of a check or money order payable to Fordham University.
3. Request that the registrars of all colleges and universities you have previously attended send official transcripts directly to the above address.
4. Recommendations are sought from two professors or other significant professional persons under whom you have studied or worked. Send these recommending parties the Letter of Recommendation forms from the Application for Admission, and have the completed forms \sent directly to the above address. Please note that their information must also be recorded on page 3 of the Application for Admission.
5. It is required for the Ph.D. and recommended for other degrees that the scores of the Miller Analogies Test be forwarded along with the Application for Admission to provide additional information regarding academic ability. Students pursuing a Master’s degree, who find it more convenient to take the
Graduate Record Examination (GRE), may submit these scores in lieu of the Miller Analogies Test.
6. All foreign students who have not attended college or university in a country where English is the language of instruction, must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The application will not be considered without the result of this examination.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to make certain that all documents are submitted.
New York State Law #2165 requires that all students born on or after January 1, 1957, have on file proof of immunity from measles, mumps, and rubella. These vaccinations must have been given on or after the first birthday. Therefore, students must submit proof of immunization signed by a physician or high school health official to the Health Center, Rose Hill campus, Thebaud Annex.
Non-Matriculated Students
Special application forms available from the Office of Graduate Admissions or the Office of the Dean should be submitted as in the case of matriculated students. Testimony to the bachelor's degree should also be included. It is preferable to register as a non-matriculated student on the last of the registration days. No application fee is necessary.
Residence Facilities
Lay students should contact the office of Residential Life if they are interested in living in campus housing while studying at Fordham University. Currently, Arthur 2 house is the only available residential building designated for all Graduate Students at the Rose Hill campus. Click here for more info and to contact the office of ResLife.
Clergy members and those in a religious order maybe eligible for special housing on campus and should contact the office of Residential Life to alert them of their status.
