Instructions for Applicants

1.
Mail the application and all related correspondence to this address.

Please type or print clearly. All documents submitted become part of the University files and will not be returned or duplicated for any purpose.

2.
Enclose with the application form a check or money order for $65 payable to Fordham University. The application fee is not refundable.

3.
Request the registrars of all colleges and universities previously attended to send official transcripts directly to the Office of Graduate Admissions, Fordham University, Keating Hall 303, Bronx, NY, 10458.

4.
Recommendations are sought preferably from two professors or other significant professional persons under whom you studied or have worked. Send these recommending parties the enclosed forms and request that the completed forms be sent directly to this office.

5.
It is required for Ph.D. and recommended for other degrees that the scores of the Miller Analogies Test be forwarded along with the application form to give a better idea of academic ability. Students who find it more convenient to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) may submit these scores in lieu of the Miller Analogies Test for the master's degree. Application forms for the GRE may be obtained by writing to: Educational Testing Service, Box 955, Princeton, NJ 08540. For a list of Miller Analogies Testing Centers, write to: Psychological Corporation, 304 East 45th Street, New York, NY 10017.

6.
All foreign students who have not attended a college or university in a country where English is the language of instruction must take the Michigan University English Proficiency Test (English Language Institute, University of Michigan, North University Building, Ann Arbor, MI); or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) (Educational Testing Service, Box 592, Princeton, NJ 08540). Applications will not be considered without the results of either of these examinations. Testing centers are located in countries throughout the world. Information regarding the tests must be directed to the addresses listed above.

7. If you wish, attach a passport size photograph to your application (optional). Your name and the year in which the photo was taken should be written on the back.

Note: It is the responsibility of the applicant to make certain that all documents are submitted.
