Dr. Mary Beth Werdel is Assistant Professor of Pastoral Counseling in the Graduate School of Religion & Religious Education. She is published in the academic journals, "Research in the Social Scientific Study of Religion" and "Alcohol Treatment Quarterly". Dr. Werdel is also a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Maryland. Most recently she worked as a family therapist with primarily Spanish speaking immigrant families from El Salvador and Mexico.
