Robert Brancatelli










Robert Brancatelli, Ph.D

Robert Brancatelli, Ph.D. is a visiting professor of religious education. Prior to coming to Fordham, he served as the assistant executive director of the Department of Religious Education at the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) in Arlington, Virginia. In addition, he has taught at The Catholic University of America and Santa Clara University. His specialty is in Hispanic popular religion and liturgical catechesis. He has traveled extensively in El Salvador and Guatemala, researching the relationship between indigenous ritual and the Latin liturgy. Recently, he has published on the topic of "liberating catechesis," transformative catechesis, and a new area of religious education called "entrepreneurial discipleship." He is a member of the Fordham University Graduate School of Business Consortium and will offer a new five-week course on entrepreneurial discipleship in 2011 in conjunction with the business school.
