Deer Mountain Day Camp (DMDC) is seeking an experienced professional with a background in social work or child development who is passionate about camp and passionate about supporting the social and emotional development of children to join their team year round.  During the year this role will focus on staff recruitment and training.  During the summer, the camp administrator will assume the role of division leader overseeing upper camp on girl's side.

Candidates must have prior camp experience and 4 to 6 years of work or work combined with graduate experience in the areas of social work or child development.

As our In-Home Family Program Supervisor you will assist management with the oversight, coordination and administrative operations of our In-Home Family Program. You will train and supervise up to 5 Family Consultants in developing, monitoring, reviewing, and implementing family service plans. You will screen and assess families to determine program eligibility. You will assist in the coordination of other services with partnering agencies. Families are served in all 5 boroughs. The Prevention Brief Strategic Family Therapist works as part of a prevention team to promote child safety and well-being, reduce risks to children and youth, and prevent foster care placement. This individual will provide Brief Strategic Family Therapy, an evidence-based therapeutic intervention designed to improve family communication, reduce truancy and delinquency and re-establish the parental authority in the home, the intervention is designed to be brief, and expects the therapist to be able to activate change in the family within 12 – 16 weeks. This intervention employs a team approach between the therapist, a case planner, the program supervisor and the model developer to engage the entire family into the intervention, while simultaneously remaining attuned to environmental and familial safety and risk issues
