Indigenous people, including Native American and Alaskan women, have experienced a history of traumatic and discriminatory events - on their lands, and against their communities and families.  The keynote speaker and panelists in the Fourth Annual Women's symposium presented and discussed recent research on how intergenerational historical traumas, including displacement, can lead to ongoing physical and mental health risks, with special emphasis on findings related to women and girls.
