BENAY LINDENAUER Director of Career Development
Benay Lindenauer, M.S.W., L.C.S.W., is a seasoned social worker with over 20 years experience. She received her B.A. from Hunter College and M.S.W. from Fordham. In the not-for-profit arena, she has worked as a clinician, administrator, supervisor and adjunct professor. Her areas of expertise include loss and grief, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS and women's issues. Her most recent work was for the Crime Victim's Board at New York City Hospital as the psychotherapist for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and crime. As part of her role in the Institute for Women and Girls, she will be the designated point person for issues related to domestic violence.
