FRAN BLUMBERG Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Educational
Psychology Program in the Graduate School of Education
Fran Blumberg received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Purdue University in 1988. Her research interests concern the development of children's attention and attention strategies in the context of academic and non-academic learning situations. She has published and received funding for her research concerning children's attention and learning while playing video games and is a co-editor of The Design of Instruction and Evaluation, which was published by Lawrence Erlbaum Associates in September, 2004. Currently, she is editing a text concerning media research and practice in China and the United States. She is also examining differential print media content presented to pre-adolescent girls in China, the United States, and Britain in collaboration with researchers at the University of Sheffield.
