ROSE PEREZ Assistant Professor
Dr. Perez received a B.S. from Boston University and an MBA from the University of Michigan. From the University of Chicago she received an M.A. in Social Science and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Social Service. Her research focuses on the adaptation of immigrants and refugees to U.S. society. In particular, she is concerned with adverse psychosocial effects of dissonant acculturation in families. Her experience in management, research, counseling, and teaching has typically involved work with diverse populations. At Fordham, she teaches Human Behavior in the Social Environment and Empowerment and Policy Practice courses with a focus on immigrants and refugees.
