About the Conference

The interdisciplinary conference, "Haiti: Post-Disaster Reconstruction — Sustainability and Development," will explore how universities can engage with the development community in an effective way to promote sustainability with a case study of Haiti. The conference will include sessions about sustainability, environment, and women's roles in shaping sustainable reconstruction as well as break-out working groups on environmental sustainability, microcredit/microfinance, education, creative responses to disaster, food security, and health.
