Will there be scholarships available?

We have a list of external scholarships (PDF) which are available to all to apply. Additionally, you may search the following sites for scholarships: www.Fastweb.com, www.collegenet.com, www.scholarships.com, and http://ihelp.scholarshipmonkey.com.  The Fordham Center for Nonprofit Leaders is also actively seeking funds to provide scholarships to its students.


If I have a Master of Social Work or Master of Business Administration degree can I transfer credits to the Master of Science Program?

Unfortunately, no, you are not able to transfer credits from previous intuitions or degrees as this is a specialized program with a curriculum outlined by New York State. In order to receive the Master of Science degree a student must complete the outlined course load.


When do I pay for tuition?

Tuition is billed approximately 2-3 months before the trimester begins.


How do I apply for financial aid?


Students are encouraged to apply early and to fill out their FAFSA to be considered for financial assistance.



Will I receive a Master of Social Work Degree and a Master of Business Administration?


No. While the program is jointly sponsored this is not a dual degree program, students will receive a Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership degree upon completion of the program.


Will I receive help with career placement?

Students will take a career development course to help them navigate their career path.


Will I have an advisor to help me through the school year?

Students are not assigned a specific advisor, however, the program coordinator and faculty are able to answer questions and provide students with support their educational and professional endeavors. Mentors, who are leaders in the nonprofit world, are also available after graduation.
