Continuing Education

Social work education does not end with graduation. The goal of the continuing education department is to provide ongoing professional development for alumni and others in our extended social work community. Within the last years we have sponsored a Trauma Institute, a Management Seminar Series, a Diversity Institute and a Spring For Success Seminar Series. Our very reasonable priced seminars are taught by knowledgeable, experienced, Fordham faculty and adjuncts.

We have launched a new "On-line For Success" Seminar Series.  Some of the courses offered are LMSW/LCSW/LSW Online Review, Working with Children and Social Work with the Elderly.  We are currently in the process of launching new seminars in areas such as Assessment and Diagnosis, Secondary Trauma, and Social Work and the Law.  These seminars will use a fully integrated web application that allows text, graphics, audio and multimedia activities. We hope that you will be able to participate in our programs. Look for the links to our seminars from our homepage to find out more about our offerings and to obtain registration forms.

If you would like more information about ongoing continuing education programs, have suggestions for new seminars, or any other comments about continuing education, please contact:
Dr. Elaine Congress, Associate Dean at (212) 636-6667 or Congress@fordham.edu.
