To change the way African Diaspora women are viewed in our society, we have to change the way that they are represented in mass media and popular culture. Learn more about how global social workers and other international workers can provide sustainable and responsible interventions. Using work in Haiti as a case study, speakers will share information about environmental and social development that goes beyond aid.

There will be a screening of The Value of the Example an award winning documentary on the state of the environment in Seguin, Haiti.

There will also be information on ways to become involved in the work in Haiti.
