Dean Elaine Gerald became the Assistant Dean of Admissions in 1993. Her social work experience includes work in various agencies including Greenwich House and the Gay Men's Health Crisis. She has been a board member of the NYC Chapter of NASW and is on the advisory board of several BSW programs, including York, Sienna and Concordia Colleges. She was recently elected chair of the National Deans and Directors of Admissions. Dean Gerald also serves as conference coordinator for the New York State Social Work Education Association (NYSSWEA). The NYSSWEA honored Elaine with their service award in 2002. Ms. Gerald has taught substance abuse courses at Fordham GSSS and serves as the faculty advisor for part-time students at the Lincoln Center Campus.
