Janna C. Heyman, Ph.D., is Associate Dean and Professor at the Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service, Associate Director of the Ravazzin Center on Aging and Director of Children and Families Institute. She received both her Ph.D. and M.S.W. from Fordham University. Through her work with the research centers, Dr. Heyman has collaborated with national, state and local agencies on both aging and child welfare issues. Dr. Heyman has also conducted extensive research and published numerous scholarly articles on intergernerational programming and social work education. Dr. Heyman has taught research, evaluation, and policy implementation for many years at both the doctoral and masters level. She has written and obtained many large research grants. Currently, Dr. Heyman is chair of Workforce Commission of NASW-NYS chapter, facilitating roundtable discussion on workforce initiatives throughout New York. Her leadership at Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service has helped to advance the education of future social work professionals.
