A MENTAL HEALTH REHABILITATION CENTER (Metairie, Louisiana)


Seeking a dynamic, engaging, bilingual Social Worker with a Masters Degree who has experience working with children and/or adolescence with mental/behavioral health issues (between the ages of 3 and 21).  All accepted applicants will be properly trained to ensure solid clinical knowledge.

Additionally, the Social Worker will be passionate about working with children and/or adolescence; is a proactive and creative problem solver; and works well both as a part of a team and independently. The Social Worker works closely with an interdisciplinary team to build and maintain a safe program culture that emphasizes respect for all community members and ensures all recipients progress forward in their goals. The Social Worker reports to the Clinical Director.

The Social Worker will be expected to assist this population in achieving his/her goals and:

1. Providing therapeutic techniques to recipients, as assigned.
2. Providing community support work to recipients, as assigned.
3. Participating in staff training and assignments, as requested.
4. Functioning well in crisis.
5. Assisting and positively interacting with other team members.
6. Submitting accurate and complete progress notes daily.
7. Accessing, reviewing and/or monitoring a recipient's status in relation
to rehabilitation.
8. Must have own transportation and valid driver's license and auto
insurance.
