FEBRUARY 2015 GRADUATES

The deadline for applying as a Candidate for Degree has now passed.  If you have not yet filed, log into Banner Self Service from your my.fordham account as soon as possible!  Go to Student Folder then Student Records.  The Apply to Graduate option is within that folder.  Select the Fall 2014 term and February 1, 2015 as the graduation date.

STUDENT ID CARDS

Duplicating Services is now handling the distribution of Graduate Student Identification Cards.  If you missed the distribution tables at the beginning of the semester you must pick up your ID from Duplicating, located on the Street Level of the building in Room 128A (LC Campus).  You must have your Fordham ID Number on hand when you pick up your card.  ID cards cannot be mailed home for security reasons.  Hours of operation are:

Tuesday 10:00am - 7:00pm
Wednesday 10:00am - 7:00pm
Thursday 10:00am - 7:00pm

Dean Susan Egan is the advisor for all non-matriculated students.  She can be reached at egan@fordham.edu.

For all students in field work, your advisor is the professor who leads your Integrative Seminar.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORKERS

Please join your professional organization (www.socialworkers.org).  Student membership is the best deal in town!  Helen Alulema, MSW student, is this year's Membership Associate to the New York City Chapter of NASW.  Questions about membership or the chapter activities can be directed to her at halulema@fordham.edu.  Come to day hello when she and Dean Egan will be tabling on the 7th floor during the lunch break on November 1st.

ACSWA AWARDS

The American Clinical Social Work Association (ACSWA) announces the new Shelomo Osman Memorial Scholarship Award.  A $1500 prize will be given to a first year student in a social work master's level program.  The Osman Award goes to a first-year graduate student who submits a winning clinical paper that recounts the process of a clinical intervention.

ACSWA continues to sponsor the annual $2000 Judith Holm Memorial Student Award for final-year students enrolled in a social work master's program.  Guidelines can befound at www.acswa.org/students.
