M.S.W. Admission Requirements

The helpful staff at the GSS Office of Admissions is happy to answer your questions about our program or the social work profession.  Our team can also help you with applying to our Master of Social Work degree program, securing financial aid and locating housing.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

We encourage applications from people who can meet the academic requirements of a graduate-level program and who demonstrate that their personal qualities and values are compatible with the mission of social work: to improve the lives of others.

There is no specific type of student we look for.  As in the social work profession, we consider each candidate as an individual.  We welcome applications from people with all kinds of experience and interests.

PREREQUISITE

A Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university is required, and you must have a minimum of 18 undergraduate credits in liberal arts content.

NOTE: The GRE is not required for admission to the MSW program.
