Grants of up to $20,000 are available to help support the research of faculty members or post-doctoral researchers affiliated with non-profit human service organizations in the United States and Canada. Areas of interest to the Fund are: studies to develop, refine, evaluate, or disseminate innovative interventions designed to prevent or ameliorate major social, psychological, behavioral, or public health problems affecting children, adults, couples, families, or communities, or studies that have the potential for adding significantly to knowledge about such problems.

Young Scholars Program: The goals of this program are to: (1) stimulate both basic and policy-relevant research about the early education, health, and well-being of immigrant children from birth to age 10, particularly those who are living in low-income families; and to (2) support the career development of young investigators (from the behavioral and social sciences or in an allied professional field) to attain tenure or who have received tenure in the last four years from a college or university in the United States.

The mission of the Silberman Faculty Grant Program (FGP) is to support the systematic investigation of innovations in social work practice, policy, and education. Its objective is to encourage full-time faculty of CSWE accreditation MSW programs to contribute to the knowledge base and methodology employed in the education process by undertaking research and preparing professional journal and book publications.
