Director of Honors Program

Dear CBA Honors Students,
As the Director of Honors Opportunities, I am here to assist students in their quest to further challenge themselves to achieve greater academic success. The College of Business Administration offers its students numerous opportunities to challenge themselves academically through a variety of honors programs.
William E. Boyle, S.J. Society
The Boyle Society was established to encourage students to pursue the Jesuit ideals Father Boyle lived by which were – positive thinking makes all things possible, scholars must love knowledge and students should strive to become leaders in the community. The Boyle Society offers the college’s best scholars a portal to distinguished opportunities, including prestigious scholarships such as, The Marshall, Rhodes, Fulbright and other competitive scholarly programs through the Office of Prestigious Scholarships.
CBA sophomores, juniors and seniors of exceptional academic standing (3.7 or higher GPA) are invited to apply for membership in the Boyle Society. Students accepted into the Society pledge to commit themselves to continued academic success as well as to serving the community. The community service requirement can be completed through a number of options including working with a CBA faculty member as a research assistant, peer-to-peer tutoring or volunteering with one of CBA’s local Bronx community partner organizations.
Honors Thesis Program
Juniors of high academic standing are invited to participate in the Honors Thesis Program during their senior year. The Program’s Co-Directors instruct students on research methodology and match each student with a faculty thesis advisor in their field of interest. Under the tutelage of their advisor, each student implements their research and performs analysis on their findings. The year-long process culminates with a publication-worthy thesis and special acknowledgement at an awards ceremony.
Dual Degree Programs
The Dual Degree Programs provides students who excelled throughout the CBA curriculum with the opportunity to complete a graduate business degree in just ten classes beyond their CBA degree. The Program offers students the choice between pursuing graduate studies leading to a Masters of Science (BS/MS) or Masters of Business Administration (BS/MBA).
If you are interested in any of these honors programs please email me – bdunn@fordham.edu - for more information.
Sincerely,
Brian Dunn
