Dual-degree programs
In today's business world, advanced degrees carry an ever-greater advantage in helping graduates attract employers' attention and secure jobs. Certain self-directed, academically capable students can complete their Fordham business education through the master's level in only five years.
Our dual-degree programs merge the strengths of the undergraduate Gabelli School of Business and Fordham's Graduate School of Business Administration. Students apply for these programs as juniors or seniors. They must have:
- An excellent cumulative GPA
- High standardized test scores on exams such as the GMAT
- Prior internship experience
- Demonstrated involvement in service and extracurricular activities
How is a dual degree set up?
The program begins with the same four-year college experience that all Gabelli undergraduates enjoy on Fordham's Rose Hill campus in the Bronx. After completing 120 credits, students receive a bachelor's degree with the rest of their class, and then continue on for 30 more credits and a master’s degree at Fordham's Lincoln Center campus in Manhattan, home to the graduate business division. The result is either a B.S./M.S. or B.S./M.B.A.
What specific degree options are offered?
Students can customize their dual-degree programs to suit their career goals. They can earn both degrees in the same field — a B.S. and M.B.A. both in marketing, for example — or diversify their studies: for instance, following a B.S. in finance with an M.B.A. in management. Is there a dual-degree program for aspiring lawyers?
Yes. Our six-year B.S./J.D. program is offered in cooperation with Fordham Law School.
