The days are gone when a student could simply attend four years of classes on a college
campus and land a great job. The bar has been raised. This point is not lost on Jessica Castano, who has—through the Global Business Honors Program—put together a slate of experiences that will make her a sought-after candidate by top multinational companies.
With an eye toward a career in the global cosmetics industry, Jessica pursued honors-level coursework at Fordham in international marketing, business communications and other business disciplines. She worked in her desired field well before graduation as the Calvin Klein cosmetics global marketing intern at Coty Inc. Jessica also traveled extensively, not only on Global Business Honors Program group trips to visit companies in London and South America, but also to Paris, where she spent a semester abroad, lived with a French family and took an international marketing course.
"These travel experiences are something I couldn’t find at another program," Jessica said. "We gain so much exposure to different companies and, more importantly, to different areas of business. This helped us all to pick the right major and to get insight on what our future careers will be like." Based on the preparation she received through the Global Business Honors Program, it is likely that her career will be exactly what she had intended.
