By the time Namir Brentegani arrived at Fordham, as a junior transfer, he already had lived all over the world: growing up in Italy, Chicago, Singapore, New York and London,
and spending his first two years of college at Università Bocconi in Milan. It was no surprise, then, that after coming to Fordham—where he transferred to gain access to the business capital of New York—he sought out a secondary concentration in international business.

Namir went on Fordham's study tour to India immediately after taking a spring semester finance course called Investing in India. "We spent two weeks visiting world-renowned companies such as TATA and Goldman Sachs, as well as immersing ourselves in the diversity of the Indian culture," he recalled. Namir said the trip captured the true value of the secondary concentration.

"The advantage of the concentration is that it opens your mind not only culturally but also commercially, in business," he said. "Developing an open mind is a necessity in today's world, which continues to demand international interaction and understanding."
