Alumni networking
Because Fordham's alumni network is global — our graduates live from Manhattan to Melbourne to Munich — the Gabelli School of Business offers ways for alumni to connect online. Gabelli alumni of all class years are invited to join us on these services:
Alumni are invited to participate in varied in-person gatherings, which offer a chance to make career connections or simply to have fun with old friends. Fordham's university-wide alumni office coordinates frequent events — sometimes two dozen per month — that bring together alumni from across Fordham’s 10 schools and divisions. On top of that, the Gabelli School of Business offers additional activities geared specifically for business alumni, including:
- Alumni/Student Supper Club meetings: Two or three alumni get together for dinner with current students who aspire to work in their business fields.
- Networking happy hours: Alumni of certain class years, or in certain fields, convene after work in Manhattan to make new connections and renew old ones.
- Regional gatherings: When possible, Gabelli administrators attend alumni office events outside New York City, solidifying a truly global network. Dean’s office staff have recently attended gatherings in California, Florida and Massachusetts.
- Dean's breakfasts: Held by Dean Donna Rapaccioli once each semester, these morning meetings provide a guest speaker on an important topic in business, such as energy or social media, followed by time for networking.
- Fordham sporting events: Student groups such as the Dean’s Council sponsor halftime celebrations for Gabelli alumni at basketball games and other contests.
