Curriculum

The College of Business Administration’s curriculum is made up of four primary components:
  1. Liberal Arts Core (for undergraduate business)
  2. Business Core
  3. Major/Concentration
  4. Electives

In all cases, the liberal arts core also includes three distributive requirements: Global Studies, American Pluralism and Senior Value Seminar. These requirements are satisfied by business courses for CBA students. A Global Studies course is indicated by the attribute "Globalism" in the Banner system. Beginning with the class of 2010, this global course must be in a business discipline. The American Pluralism requirement is fulfilled by the completion of two core business courses, Principles of Management and Marketing Principles, while the Senior Value Seminar requirement is fulfilled by another core business course, Ethics in Business.

Electives must come from both arts and sciences and business. See CBA’s Curriculum Analysis form for specific majors/concentrations for required number of electives.

All students are required to complete a minimum of 40 courses and 120 credits in order to graduate from the College of Business Administration. Each course must have at minimum a rating of 3 credits or higher.
