Global Business Honors Program

The Global Business Honors Program allows top business students to gain access to extra-ordinary opportunities. Through the fusion of the academic, experiential, professional development and relationship building components of the program students will closely interact with highly recognized faculty members and extremely successful business leaders.

Students selected for the Global Business Honors Program can expect to enroll in and contribute to a selective and rigorous global academic program. By the end of their academic career, these students will be sought after by the most dynamic firms in the world.

  1. The Academic Component
Includes honors sections of both liberal arts core and business core courses with emphasis on critical reading, writing, quantitative skills, ethical decision making, and presentation skills. In junior and senior year students conduct original research with a business faculty member, with the hope of presenting their research paper at academic conferences in the spring of senior year. The program is tailored to individual students' needs so that a student can choose any business discipline and be part of the Global Business Honors Program.

  2. The Experiential Component
Involves visits to New York City business landmarks, international site visits, on campus guest speakers, conference attendance, and internships. Throughout each semester of every year a variety of events including visits to the NYSE, The United Nations, and Fortune 500 Companies. Additionally there is a capstone to each academic year, for example the first year concludes with a study tour to London. The experiential component is carefully planned to capitalize on the academic component of the program and our New York City location.

  3. The Personal Development and Relationship Building Component
Emphasizes the importance of “soft skills,” such as interviewing, etiquette, presentation skills and networking. Professional development seminars designed specifically for each year will be offered each semester. The seminars will be reinforced through the students’ one on one relationship with a business leader mentor and a faculty research partner. Students are able to utilize these skills through one-on-one relationships they each have with a successful CBA alum as their mentor.
