A student's junior year is generally a time for students to more fully immerse themselves in their academic major, and begin planning for further opportunities after graduation. Typically, most juniors are near completion of the core curriculum, and most academic questions involve studying abroad, obtaining credit for internships, participating in mentored research, and planning to apply for fellowships and graduate school.
The FCRH Junior Class Dean, Dr. William J. Gould, assists students with a variety of academic issues and helps them explore a variety of academic opportunities. In particular, he assists juniors with: general academic questions, concerns, or difficulties; progress toward and completion of academic requirements; discussing changes in academic programs; registration questions, receiving transfer or summer course credit; notifying faculty about absences or academic difficulties related to an illness or an emergency; and planning for future opportunities, including fellowships, graduate school, and other career options.
