Details
Students are urged to take the test as early as possible to allow expedited processing and course assignment for fall 2012. The placement test will be administered on the Rose Hill campus on the same days as the Summer Orientation Programs, at the following times:
  • Monday, June 25, 9:30 am        Keating Hall, 3rd Floor Auditorium
  • Monday, July 9, 9:30 am            Keating Hall, 3rd Floor Auditorium
  • Monday, July 16, 9:30 am          Keating Hall, 3rd Floor Auditorium
This test is intended to assess your current level of preparedness for calculus, and will not be used to place you out of any course or requirement, but, rather, will help us identify the appropriate course of study for your first semester.

High school grades and SAT/ACT scores will not exempt a student who meets the above criteria from taking the math placement test. If you have a score of 4 or 5 on the AP test, you are exempt from taking the math placement test. If you have taken the AP test but do not have a score you must take the math placement test.

Please note a calculator is not necessary, nor will students be permitted to use one.

Your attendance at the Summer Orientation Programs is essential, not only for the information delivered during the orientation program, but also so that you can take this important test. If you are unable to attend one of the Summer Orientation Programs, please send an email message to FCMathCalc@fordham.edu.
