Sophomore Advising

A student's sophomore year is a year of transition and decision. Generally, each sophomore is learning to balance academic and nonacademic pursuits, to solidify friendships and to develop particular intellectual interests. Specifically, however, the FCRH sophomore must be mindful of two essential tasks - completing the core curriculum, and formally declaring a major.

To this end, the FCRH Sophomore Class Dean, Dr. Luz Lenis, assists students with a variety of academic issues and helps them explore a variety of academic options. In particular, she assists sophomores with: course planning and registration, major declaration, degree requirements, college policies, and strategies pertaining to academic success. She also provides them with information pertaining to study abroad, internship opportunities, prestigious fellowships, and career planning advice.
