The Core Curriculum
The core curriculum is the centerpiece of Fordham College at Rose Hill's liberal arts education. It is a carefully organized progression of courses that are taken by all students. The core curriculum culminates with two capstone courses intended to integrate learning across disciplines and within a broader social and personal framework of values.
By invitation only, the Honors Program provides students of exceptional academic talent and intellectual curiosity with the opportunity to pursue their course studies in greater depth, breadth, and intensity.
Areas of Study
Fordham College at Rose Hill offers a diverse array of majors, minors, certificates and other programs to complement the common core studies. Students are encouraged to declare a major by the end of their sophomore year.
Degree Requirements
Students need to meet the following requirements to earn their degree:
- Complete 36 courses (35 for students who complete lectures and labs in Intro Bio I and Gen Chem I in the fall of freshman year)
- Earn 124.00 credits
- Complete the FCRH core curriculum
- Complete a major
- Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 ("C" average)
