GUIDELINES FOR PREPARATION OF SYMPOSIUM ABSTRACTS
- Abstracts should not exceed 250 words (not including title, authors, department).
- Type abstracts using Times New Roman, 11 point font. Follow the format given in the template document. Margins have been set on the template; no changes are allowed.
- The title should be typed in BOLD CAPITALS, centered.
- Type authors' names in lower case, (first name, middle initial and last name) centered and underline the name of the presenting author.
- Put an asterisk next to your mentor's name (e.g., Margaret P. Fox*).
- Do not indent paragraphs.
- The abstract should clearly state the purpose of the research undertaken and briefly discuss the major findings of the project.
- You can type your abstract directly onto the template by replacing the content of the template with information related to your work.
- The abstract should be saved in .doc format in Microsoft Word. Name the file with your last name in CAPITALS, followed by the phrase "Undergraduate Research Symposium Abstract" (e.g., HEALD Undergraduate Research Symposium Abstract).
GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF SYMPOSIUM ABSTRACTS
- The deadline for submission of abstracts is Wednesday, March 26, 2008.
- All abstracts should be submitted via email to heald@fordham.edu.
- In the subject line of the email, please type your last name in CAPITALS, followed by the phrase "Undergraduate Research Symposium Abstract" (e.g., HEALD Undergraduate Research Symposium Abstract).
- Indicate in the body of the email message if your poster will be printed on a single 3' x 4' page.
