Isabelle Frank
Dean, FCLS
Dear Fordham Students,
As the new dean of the College of Liberal Studies, I am excited and happy to be welcoming you – my first class of students -- to the College! Juggling busy lives, schedules, and external obligations, you have all taken an important and difficult step by deciding to resume your undergraduate studies. Fordham College of Liberal Studies was created specifically for adult students completing their bachelor’s degree or beginning their studies at a later point in their lives. The adult curriculum combines the strengths of Fordham’s core curriculum with its range of majors across the arts and sciences, but structured within a flexible evening, week-end, and on-line schedule. In short, our rich curriculum encourages you to take advantage of all the intellectual opportunities available throughout the university.
You are each based at one of our three campuses (Westchester, Lincoln Center, or Rose Hill), where you will meet with one of the academic deans as you plan your first semester and your larger course of study. I also urge you to explore courses and majors offered at our other two campuses. There you might discover fast-tracks to graduate programs, enticing minors, or on-line courses you had never considered. Whichever route you take, at whichever campus, we are there to advise and assist you along your way. Most important, if you have any questions do not hesitate to drop into our offices on the three campuses. Take advantage of us
Have a wonderful first semester,
Isabelle Frank
